Bring Me a Rock! by Daniel Miyares; illustrated by Daniel Miyares. 2016. Watercolor with digital tools.

Brief summary: A grasshopper king demands his fellow insects to bring him large rocks in order to make a throne  to sit on and rule.  The king climbs up his tall rock chair which starts to sway until a little bug the grasshopper shunned earlier puts his pebble at the foundation to keep it from falling. “You saved my life! However can I repay you?” the king asks.  The next illustration shows the little guy’s request.

Comment: Has the feel of a fable…short, animals, and a morale.
