Brief summary: A teacher talks about families and asks her students what made their family special. Each child shares something unique letting the reader learn about different types of families including families with same sex parents, blended families, families with foster children, large families, single parent families, families with divorced parents, and families with biological and foster children.

Comments: This book represents  many families that are not usually found in mainstream picture books. It is a pleasant change to see so many variants.
